BUILDER GETS CARD SITE

Posted on 27 October 2010

A construction company has bought an industrial property in Clayton, south east of Melbourne, previously owned and occupied by greeting card manufacturer John Sands, for about $10 million. The property at 34-58 Clayton Road, comprises five factory warehouses and one warehouse office building, representing almost 20,000 square metres in total. The site was originally marketed by Vinci Carbone Property through expressions of interest before being re-launched through a closed private tender that attracted about four interested parties. Savills Victorian division director Lynton Williams negotiated on behalf of the construction company. Vinci Carbone director Frank Vinci said the site needed demolition work.
